Google reportedly serves poisoned search results to AI crawlers, rank trackers
TechNews reports that SEO rank-tracking vendors say Google has since September been returning “poisoned” search results pages to automated scraping tools: the pages look normal but replace many top sites with unrelated results. Nozzle said it analyzed 27.5 million SERPs across 49 countries and found 8.0% of identifiable result pages were poisoned between Sept. 13 and Oct. 9, versus 0.17% in a baseline period; DemandSphere reported about 11% of its daily checks were anomalous. Google has not confirmed the claim, and the industry view that the practice targets crawlers used for AI answers remains speculation; Google’s September spam update overlapped the period.
If confirmed, AI systems and SEO tools that rely on scraped Google results could receive complete but incorrect pages instead of errors, making automated retrieval unreliable.

企業級排名追蹤業者 Nozzle 10 日公布報告，分析 49 國涵蓋桌機、iPhone 與 Android 裝置共 2,750 萬筆搜尋結果頁。將「某關鍵字的常見網站有一半以上未出現，且在之後的擷取重新出現」定義為遭下毒的結果。發現 Google 自 9 月 13 日大量拒絕擷取請求，9 月 20 日開始出現遭下毒的頁面。9 月 13 日至 10 月 9 日，可判定結果頁有 8.0% 遭下毒，基準期僅 0.17%；9 月 27 日至 29 日最嚴重，單日比例約達四分之一。
