GMI Cloud showcases power-constrained Taoyuan AI Factory
GMI Cloud showcased a Taoyuan AI Factory retrofitted from Taiwan Mobile’s existing data center, with a maximum supply of about 25MW and roughly 16MW available as IT load for GPUs and servers. Its first phase includes three NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD GB300 systems with about 48 AI racks in total, while a second phase of roughly 3.5 SuperPODs is planned for December. GMI Cloud says power, not available floor space, will constrain further expansion as the IT load approaches 16MW.
The site provides concrete operational details on how an AI data center retrofit uses power redundancy, liquid cooling and GB300 deployments, with most facility specifications supplied by GMI Cloud.
GB300 AI Factory
