   GMI Cloud showcases power-constrained Taoyuan AI Factory

   GMI Cloud showcased a Taoyuan AI Factory retrofitted from Taiwan Mobile’s existing data center, with a maximum supply of about 25MW and roughly 16MW available as IT load for GPUs and servers. Its first phase includes three NVIDIA DGX SuperPOD GB300 systems with about 48 AI racks in total, while a second phase of roughly 3.5 SuperPODs is planned for December. GMI Cloud says power, not available floor space, will constrain further expansion as the IT load approaches 16MW.

   Taipower Brings Together Tech and Energy Firms on AIDC Power

   Taipower hosted the “WattToken Power × Computing Cross-Domain Integration Symposium” with Intel, GMI Cloud, Bloom Energy, Siemens Energy and other participants. Discussions covered AIDC power planning, on-site generation, equipment construction, cloud services, AI chip technology and server deployment, with the aim of coordinating power infrastructure and computing equipment from a project’s outset. Taipower also described five power-integration services covering self-generation, contract-capacity management, renewable energy, backup power and energy-management systems.

   MiniMax said on social media that M3.1 Flash, also called Space Bunny, is now available on GMI Cloud, thanking the provider for getting the model live on "day0." The post relays GMI Cloud's description of the model as built for coding, agentic workflows and computer use, and cites figures including 70% lower agentic task costs, 73.7% on DeepSWE v1.1 and 82% on CyberGym. Those cost and benchmark numbers are vendor promotional claims with no independent measurement supplied.

   GMI Cloud opens free week for Qwen3.8-Max, Qwen3.8-Flash and Wan3.0

   Alibaba's Qwen account said a week of free access to Qwen3.8-Max, Qwen3.8-Flash and Wan3.0 is live on GMI Cloud. GMI Cloud said it is extending free Qwen 3.8 Max and Flash for seven more days and has raised rate limits across all three models. The two also launched a showcase inviting developers to post Qwen or Wan builds, with three winners to be picked.
