Hunan Daily and 360 launch Zhimou Trusted GEO for party media
On Oct 12, Hunan Daily Press Group and 360 Group jointly launched "Zhimou Trusted GEO," which they describe as China's first provincial-level party-media trusted GEO (generative engine optimization) service, and signed a broad strategic cooperation agreement. According to the launch event, the product structurally adapts and generatively optimizes authoritative content and dynamically monitors and corrects model outputs, with 360 extending its AI security capabilities across the chain from content production to AI distribution. 360 president Ye Jian attributed the capability to the company's full-stack, self-controlled "sovereign AI" stack that does not rely on third-party model bases; a group of government and enterprise clients in government affairs, tourism, finance, autos, appliances, pharmacy chains and tech signed on, and founder Zhou Hongyi addressed the event by video.
It shows Chinese party media treating "getting authoritative content correctly cited by large models" as a business in itself, moving GEO from a marketing buzzword toward institutional procurement.
