Apple releases RC builds of macOS, iPadOS 27.2 with more Siri AI languages
Apple has released release-candidate builds of macOS 27.2 “Golden Gate,” iPadOS 27.2, watchOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 to developers and public beta users, with 9to5Mac reporting the RC builds are intended to be the versions that ship publicly, expected by the end of October. IT之家 reported that macOS 27.2 adds Siri AI support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, updates the brightness and volume sliders, and includes touch-gesture recognition code in Safari, Notes, Photos and Quick Look. The watchOS 27.2 RC release notes list three StoreKit in-app purchase test fixes, while it remains unconfirmed whether the RC resolves an Electron app window-dragging bug reported in beta 4.
The release extends Siri AI beyond the English-only launch reported last month by adding five languages, a meaningful availability change for Apple's assistant even though this is a point OS update.

Apple is rolling out the first RC for macOS 27.2 for developers and users enrolled in the public beta, ahead of the official release in the next few weeks. Here’s what to expect.
macOS 27.2 Golden Gate nears launch
After releasing macOS 27.2 Golden Gate beta 4 last week, Apple is now rolling out the first Release Candidate ahead of the system’s official launch in the coming weeks
macOS 27.2 adds support for five additional languages for Siri AI: French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The feature launched last month with English-only support, with Apple promising to expand language availability during its Surprise and Shine event.
One interesting under-the-hood addition in macOS 27.2 is new gesture recognition tools in several built-in apps, which could be laying the groundwork for Apple’s upcoming touchscreen MacBook Pro, expected to be announced later this month at the Pro and Tell event.
