OpenAI Acquires Pierre Computer, Plans Codex Integration
OpenAI announced the acquisition of code-storage infrastructure company Pierre Computer; the financial terms were not disclosed. Citing OpenAI's announcement and CBN, the Edge AI Daily report said Pierre's open-source projects will remain open source, existing customers can continue using Code Storage, and OpenAI plans to integrate its functionality into Codex.
The planned integration would add repository-storage capabilities to Codex as AI coding competition shifts from helping users write code toward managing AI-written code, including storage, version control, synchronization, permissions and audit infrastructure.
