Claude Code Prompt Checks Hotel Rooms for Cameras and Trackers
A prompt shared by X user @Damir_Akaza casts Claude Code as a read-only check-in security assistant for hotel rooms and Airbnb rentals. Its five-stage workflow scans the connected Wi-Fi with arp-scan and nmap, listens for Bluetooth trackers, audits a phone with Amnesty International’s Mobile Verification Toolkit, guides a flashlight inspection of mirrors, vents and angles facing the bed, and ranks suspicious findings with suggested next steps. Wccftech relayed one user’s unverified claim that a friend used the workflow to find a camera behind a bathroom mirror in 90 seconds. The report cautions that a clean result does not establish that a room is safe: cameras using local storage, a separate hotspot or guest-network isolation may not appear on the connected network.
The prompt offers a concrete, AI-assisted checklist combining network, Bluetooth, phone and physical checks. The report presents it as a safeguard rather than a guarantee because some devices may evade the scans.
