SemiAnalysis reports uneven Claude Max 20x subscription quotas
SemiAnalysis reported that Anthropic assigned different Claude subscription limits to equivalent accounts, finding that one account had a 19% larger five-hour quota but a 20% smaller weekly quota. The measured monthly API-equivalent value also fell from $11,726 to $9,385, while users separately reported unexpectedly rapid quota consumption. Anthropic personnel disputed that subscription limits had changed and said caching, sub-agent usage, and other factors were being investigated.
The reported differences could make the same Claude Max 20x plan provide uneven capacity, especially for heavy users constrained by weekly rather than five-hour limits.
