Tesla Manuals Rename FSD Computer as SI Computer
Tesla owner manuals for Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck now refer to the FSD Computer as the "SI Computer," according to IT之家 AI. The Model Y manual describes it as processing neural-network data and making decisions that guide the vehicle to its destination, while owners are directed to check the computer model under Controls > Software.
The manual updates provide direct evidence that Tesla is changing the name used for its AI-focused onboard computing hardware, although the broader SI naming scheme has not been formally announced.
