Researchers from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Carnegie Mellon University, and Columbia University proposed a survey framework that links omni intelligence with omni interactivity. Covering 349 works, it connects streaming representation, model architecture, training, deployment, and evaluation while examining interruption recovery, response timing, and the trade-off between fast responses and complex reasoning. The survey also discusses multi-rate interactive intelligence, foreground-background coordination, and six dimensions for evaluating interactive behavior.
