Intelic wins €30M Dutch defence contract for AI air-defence software
Dutch AI company Intelic's software is helping Ukraine's air defence and has won a €30 million contract from the Dutch Ministry of Defence, TechNews reports. In late September 2026 Intelic tested its Nexus platform at a Dutch air base, fusing radars, sensors and cameras from different vendors to identify simulated incoming targets, with a human operator giving the final order to launch an AI-guided interceptor drone. Intelic says Nexus also lets Ukrainian forces operate drones from multiple suppliers in one system and supports Ukraine's Delta battlefield management system.
The report says the window to judge whether an incoming drone or missile is a real attack, a decoy or harmless can be only seconds, which Intelic argues makes AI-assisted, and potentially fully automated, interception decisions necessary.
