Xiaomi's Mijia Robot Vacuum 7 Max opens pre-orders with 50°C hot-water mopping, from ¥4,999
Xiaomi began pre-orders for the Mijia Robot Vacuum 7 Max on Oct 12 at 10:00, offering a water-tank version at ¥4,999 (¥4,498.96 after coupons and a national subsidy) and a slim built-in plumbing version at ¥5,299 (¥4,769.01), with a ¥448 accessory gift for orders. Xiaomi says the unit has its strongest-ever 6 cm obstacle-climbing ability and 45,000 Pa suction, a three-arm edge-cleaning design, a slimmer body with an embedded 3D area-array radar, and automatic 50°C hot-water spraying when it detects kitchen or bathroom scenes, with a claimed 99.99% floor sterilization rate and simultaneous dirty-water scraping and recovery while mopping. On the intelligence side, it supports AI recognition of 320-plus objects and types of dirt to match cleaning strategies and reduce cable tangling.
It is another consumer-grade example of AI recognition being applied to obstacle avoidance and cleaning strategy, though it is largely unrelated to frontier model progress.
