Xiaomi Smart Camera 5 Pro with full-color night vision goes on sale for 439 yuan
Xiaomi's Smart Camera 5 Pro (full-color night vision) went on sale on October 12 at 10:00, priced at 499 yuan with a 439 yuan first-sale price. It pairs 8MP and 4MP lenses for 4K footage and carries a built-in fill-light night lamp: it records in black and white when nobody is present, then switches to color and turns on the lamp once a person is detected, alongside a 940nm infrared illuminator. The pan-tilt mount rotates remotely and tracks people and pets, an "OK" hand gesture triggers a call to the phone app for two-way audio, and Xiaomi says a 1.5T computing chip powers local AI detection and event playback.
Pushing local AI detection and person recognition into a roughly 400-yuan home camera shows on-device intelligence becoming standard in consumer security gear.
