Google Details Five Chrome Study Features, Led by Gemini Interactive Quizzes
Google outlined five Chrome features aimed at students: Gemini-powered interactive quizzes, Gemini explanations of videos and podcasts, tab groups and split view, reading mode and read aloud, and cross-device tab resume. The interactive quiz builder is the most restricted, rolling out in English on desktop in the US and India, with Google saying more regions and mobile support are planned but giving no firm date. The other tools largely build on capabilities Chrome already offers, and Google does not specify institutional eligibility or data-handling rules for school-managed accounts.
Gemini is moving from a standalone chat window into everyday browser study workflows, though school-account access and the accuracy of AI-generated questions still need checking.
