Four-year-old Yuan Tai breaks into Nvidia supply chain with liquid-cooling CDUs
A Business Weekly feature republished by TechNews reports that Yuan Tai Technology, a four-year-old startup based in Xizhi, Taiwan, specializes in coolant distribution units (CDUs) and can integrate a data center's entire cooling system, making it one of the few one-stop liquid-cooling infrastructure and system integrators in Taiwan; it has won orders from Wistron, Realtek and Faraday and entered Nvidia's supply chain. The report says first-half revenue exceeded NT$970 million, nearly triple the year-earlier figure, with after-tax profit up more than sixfold and EPS of NT$4.35, beating all of last year. Chairman Chen Mao-chin, a veteran of the cooling industry, founded Yuan Tai in 2022, first making a water cold plate for an Asus motherboard before exiting that segment over leak risk and focusing on CDUs; shareholder Wen Wei's CEO Wang Yu-wen said one semiconductor customer cut electricity costs by 20% with its solution. The report also quotes an unnamed server-ODM vice president saying competitors are catching up.
Framed around rising chip power and air cooling reaching its limits, the report casts liquid-cooling infrastructure as a new link in the AI data-center supply chain that Taiwanese system integrators like Yuan Tai are moving into.
