Barron's China, TMTPost name 30 Chinese industry pioneers, AI firms included
Barron's China and TMTPost published a 30-company "Value Industry Benchmark" list of Chinese industry pioneers, grouped into seven segments: physical AI and robotics, AI models and infrastructure, AI applications, new consumer, fintech, healthcare, and services and environmental protection. The piece says the common thread is "industry-defining power" in a given niche, and profiles AI-related names including DeepSeek, SenseTime, Kling AI, MetaX, Unitree Robotics, Momenta, DJI, Dreame Technology and XREAL with claims about market share, revenue, shipments or listing plans. It also cites government holiday consumption data and September PMI figures, saying embodied-AI robot sales rose about 130% and smart-glasses sales about 100% year over year during the holiday, as evidence that capital is shifting from property and old infrastructure toward high-tech manufacturing.
