AgiBot signs record 220,000 sqm Shanghai office lease
AgiBot (智元机器人) and related companies have signed leases covering more than 220,000 square meters of office space in three Lujiazui Group projects — Qiantan Yuan, Qiantan Shang and Yuqiao Smart Valley — according to market reports cited by 《科创板日报》 and relayed by IT之家. An informed person close to AgiBot confirmed to the outlet that the lease information is accurate, and IT之家 said the deal is the largest single office lease in Shanghai's history, about 2.4 times the previous record of roughly 90,000 square meters taken by game maker Hypergryph in August, with annual rent estimated at about 350 million yuan excluding property management fees. IT之家 noted that AgiBot was founded in 2023, announced its 20,000th embodied-intelligence robot off the line on September 24, and that Counterpoint Research ranked it first globally with 9,700 humanoid robots shipped in the first half of 2026 and a share above 43%; 《财经》 magazine separately reported a new funding round of roughly 1 billion to 1.5 billion yuan at a valuation of about 50 billion yuan.
IT之家, citing 《科创板日报》, reports that the lease tops Shanghai's previous single office deal record of about 90,000 square meters, a signal of scale for one of China's leading humanoid-robot makers.
