Ant Group launches Lingguang 2.0 personal AI assistant
Ant Group released Lingguang 2.0 on October 27, positioning it as a personal AI assistant that can retain context across sessions, continue long-running tasks in the background and monitor connected services with user authorization. According to Ant Group, it connects with Alipay, DingTalk, Feishu, email and Mijia, and supports MCP, CLI and browser-based calls to external tools. Reported use cases include reviewing bills, monitoring travel prices, extracting action items from group messages and following up on pet care, vaccinations, family tasks and vehicle inspections. The release also uses Ant Group’s APASS infrastructure for identity authentication, intent security and privacy controls; users can view, adjust or revoke authorizations.
Ant Group says Lingguang 2.0 extends AI assistants from responding to individual requests to remembering goals, monitoring changes and managing ongoing matters across multiple services. The release also highlights permission boundaries, data security and execution reliability as key challenges for agents that act on users’ behalf.
