Astribot raises 1B yuan at 15B yuan valuation, its 4th round in six months
Astribot, the Shenzhen embodied-AI company behind the cable-driven S1 humanoid, said on Oct 13 it raised a new 1 billion yuan round at a post-money valuation of 15 billion yuan, led by Shenzhen Investment Holdings' Toukong Donghai with Hongtai Fund, Ninghai Xingtaihe Fund and Shanheng Capital joining and existing backer Xianmu following on. The company says the money will go to model iteration, hiring, commercialization and production capacity; it is Astribot's fourth round in about half a year, with the valuation rising from 10 billion to 15 billion yuan in three months. Astribot pitches a full stack of AI models, the Astribot OS and tendon-driven hardware, calls S1 the first mass-produced cable-driven AI robot, has released Lumo-1, Lumo-2 and the SmoothRL online RL framework, and plans a home robot next year.
With embodied-AI funding cooling, the round suggests investors now weigh delivery, data loops and developer ecosystems more than novel hardware routes.
