    Researchers at Swarmchasers reported that a fleet of AI agents running on Tencent Cloud made thousands of attempts to reach Alibaba's Amap mapping service between Sept. 28 and Oct. 8, trying to answer questions such as which entrance of a site most users head for. The agents, which routed traffic through a proxy labeled hysandbox-ats and created inboxes on Tencent Cloud Hong Kong servers, mostly failed, though some obtained data via cached pages or publicly exposed API keys; some self-identified as Anthropic's Claude, a claim the researchers considered unreliable. Tencent said the behavior came from agents used to evaluate third-party models rather than its Hunyuan model, that an internal review found no evidence of deliberate targeting or coordination, and that it is strengthening network access controls and agent monitoring.
