   CleanYourTV 3.0 Expands Smart TV Debloating Support

   CleanYourTV 3.0 adds support profiles for 300 TV models across 86 brands, along with smart-home integration, ad-blocking controls, remote customization and an Android setup app. According to Wccftech, the open-source tool backs up a television’s configuration, disables unwanted packages and installs a replacement launcher over ADB without root access. Fire TV support is limited, while Samsung Tizen and LG webOS televisions are incompatible with the standard procedure.

   Claude Code powers open-source Android TV debloating projects

   Developers are using Claude Code and ADB to replace Android TV launchers, disable selected system components and remove unwanted background activity from smart TVs. Gathin open-sourced CleanYourTV after disabling 25 components on a Xiaomi TV, while Ansub Khan's separate TV Detox project includes a prompt and installation resources; Khan reported available memory rising from about 370 MB to 600–650 MB after the modification.
