  1. Intel confirms Razor Lake-AX for 2028 with 700 TOPS for physical AI

Intel SVP Cho Min-sung said at the "Semiconductors Powering Humanoids" seminar in Seoul's Samseong-dong that Intel plans to bring its next-generation Nova Lake processor to physical AI in early 2027, followed by Razor Lake-AX in 2028 with a platform AI compute target of 700 TOPS. Reports put that at roughly 3.88x the 180 TOPS of current Panther Lake (Core Series 3) chips and about 2.5x Nvidia's Jetson AGX Orin at 275 TOPS. Based on prior leaks, Razor Lake-AX is described not as a traditional PC platform but as an integrated high-performance design akin to AMD's Ryzen Halo, keeping Nova Lake's core layout while adding 16 or 32 Xe3P cores, a large unified memory pool and possibly on-package memory, aimed at robots and other premium physical-AI devices.

  2. Intel names Crescent Island 'GPU D-Series': up to 480GB LPDDR5X for inference

At the 2026 OCP Global Summit, Intel officially named its Crescent Island data-center inference accelerator the Intel GPU D-Series, with the first product listed as the GPU D270. According to Intel and the outlets covering it, the card uses the Xe3P architecture with 32 Xe cores and 256 XMX engines, delivering 1.3 PFLOPS of FP8 compute and 1.5TB/s of memory bandwidth at a 350W TDP, in a standard PCIe Gen5, air-cooled form factor. Intel says one card can run models of roughly 300 billion parameters and an eight-GPU system can handle over one trillion parameters, though 480GB is the ceiling opened to ODM partners while Intel-branded PCIe cards carry 160GB. Intel says sampling is underway; pricing and a general-availability date have not been announced.
