   Microduck Orders Surge After Jensen Huang Demo

   cnBeta reports that Microduck, a duck-shaped consumer robot from Pollen Robotics, received about 15,000 additional orders within three days after NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang demonstrated it. Robotis said it signed a contract to supply roughly 750,000 servos, while Pollen Robotics reported demand for 50,000 units, each using 15 Robotis servos, in an order valued at about 3.5 billion won. The order, contract, and servo-demand figures come from company statements and have not been independently verified.

   Nvidia and Hugging Face demo open-source Microduck robots

   At Nvidia’s GTC Berlin keynote, CEO Jensen Huang played with Microduck robots that responded to voice commands by sitting, pretending to sleep and performing somersaults. Hugging Face’s Clem Delangue said preorders exceeded 20,000 units the next day, while TechCrunch AI reported that Christmas delivery was expected but unconfirmed. Nvidia promotional material says the open-source devices were trained in simulation using Nvidia technology, and owners can add and share new tricks.

   Ex-Huawei Xiaoyi LLM lead founds startup for proactive physical AI

   Tang Duyu, former head of multimodal large-model development for Huawei's Xiaoyi assistant, has founded Guanxing Shuzhi to pursue what he calls "proactive physical AI," arguing that AI should decide what needs doing and when from a continuously unfolding event stream instead of only executing explicit human commands. The team's two-model ProAgent architecture pairs a lightweight StreamingJev sentry that reads environmental events and flags whether intervention is needed with a Response Model that judges the situation, plans a response and chooses which device to use, a split the company says keeps inference cost and latency down. It also built ProactiveXBench, which scores the full intervention trajectory on timing, progress and outcome, and says its model outperforms general-purpose systems such as GPT-6 on certain timing metrics; the capability has been deployed first on a Reachy Mini robot across 60 cases covering guidance, warnings and interaction.
