  2. Yuewen unveils first AI animation slate and OPC platform

At its 2026 Creator Conference in Hangzhou on October 16, Yuewen (China Literature) announced its first AI premium animation projects, including “Cyber Hero Legend” and “Unreasonable Beast Taming,” and said it will build an AI premium video matrix spanning comic drama, animation, live-action-plus-AI shorts and medium-to-long series. The company upgraded its DramaBuddy comic-drama assistant into a one-stop OPC platform, claiming it connects an author-approved IP library, AI production, one-click conversion of finished works into 10 languages and global distribution, with creator ratings and tiered incentives. Yuewen said it has signed more than 5,000 individual creators and studios. It also introduced an “IP Committee” model with its first project, “Defending Nanshan Park,” in partnership with Three-Body Universe, while CEO Hou Xiaonan said AI can be used to adapt literature but literature itself cannot be AI.
