   AstraZeneca and Oracle sign non-binding AI deal to find clinical trial patients

   AstraZeneca and Oracle announced a non-binding term sheet to explore using AI and real-world health data to identify patients eligible for clinical trials, speed up medical evidence generation and feed findings into routine care. AstraZeneca contributes drug-science, trial and regulatory expertise, while Oracle's health unit brings cloud infrastructure, AI tools and hospital patient data with names removed; AstraZeneca said it will not see patient identities and that each project proceeds only after legal, privacy and ethics checks. The first programme will run in Abu Dhabi with UAE healthcare company M42, targeting people with uncontrolled high blood pressure, with later projects planned in the US, the Middle East and Europe across oncology, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic, respiratory and immunology, and rare diseases. Neither company disclosed financial terms.
