  1. Norrsken and Nvidia to open Stockholm AI Lab for founders in 2027

Norrsken Foundation and Nvidia said they will open the Stockholm AI Lab in central Stockholm in 2027 at Birger Jarlsgatan 37, hosting a select group of European founders applying AI to climate, health, food and societal problems; Nvidia's Stockholm office will also be based there. Nvidia, the lab's founding technology partner, will supply AI compute plus developer tools for robotics, simulation and life sciences, and access to its Inception startup program, while a ground-floor demo lab will be run with Norrsken portfolio company Root Bio. The project builds on Norrsken's June 2025 pledge of a €300M AI fund, now run as Prompt What Matters, and sits within Nvidia's broader European push — CEO Jensen Huang said earlier in the week that the company would put a further $2bn into European AI companies.

  3. Legora CEO calls software sovereignty an excuse not to compete globally

Legora co-founder and CEO Max Junestrand said at the Wave by Vento event in Turin that talk of "sovereignty" in enterprise applications, consumer apps or the software layer is often an excuse for companies not bold enough to compete globally, since software's market is global. Sovereignty matters for energy, defence and infrastructure, he said, but buyers of enterprise software have offices in Europe, the US and Asia, so a sovereign product "doesn't really make any sense at all" for them. He also argued legal AI will end up with one worldwide winner, and said Legora went from about $1m in revenue to $100m in under 18 months, then to $200m in under six more, with $300m next.
