   Google Adds Ad-Personalization Exception for Personal Intelligence Data

   Google’s privacy policy, effective October 16, allows data users make available to eligible Google services to help personalize content, including advertisements, according to Android Authority, TechSpot and other outlets. Gmail, Drive and Google Photos content remains excluded from personalized ads by default, but the exception applies when users connect those services through features such as Personal Intelligence. Google says advertisers do not receive directly identifying details such as names or email addresses without permission.
