   Nvidia RTX 50-series GPU prices spike in Japan, up to 41% above US listings

   Retail prices for Nvidia's RTX 50-series GPUs in Japan have risen sharply, according to Tom's Hardware and cnBeta. Tom's Hardware compared Japanese retailer listings with Amazon US prices and found the Japanese figures were 5.66% to 41.1% higher pre-tax, with the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB showing the largest gap, while cnBeta said the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB went from about ¥85,000 (~$530) at launch to ¥139,800–205,000 (~$881–1,292), a rise of up to roughly 144%. Both reports cite memory supply constraints and strong AI compute demand as likely factors, and note reports that Nvidia plans to halt RTX 5090 production, while cautioning that these are retail quotes and do not necessarily reflect official MSRP changes.
