开源中国 reports that a developer open-sourced FrameCut, a free, watermark-free Mac vlog editor that is 2.3 MB and supports only Apple silicon Macs. According to the developer, it uses the Media Engine for encoding, Metal for color grading and transitions, and the Neural Engine for speech-to-text subtitles. On an M2, the developer measured export times of about 26 seconds for a three-minute 1080p vlog and 95 seconds at 4K; no independent measurements were supplied.
