  1. Mica 4B demo breaks a Minecraft request into chained decisions

In a creator-provided demonstration, Mica v0.5 4B interpreted a request for at least three porkchops and a netherite ingot by decomposing it into multiple-choice questions. The creator says the model identified the goals and quantities, then chose among currently valid actions while a bot performed the walking, mining and crafting. The video displays the questions, options and probabilities assigned to each answer. The creator also says the Minecraft agent is unfinished and has not been released.

  2. Cloudflare open-sources Clef decision models for AI agents

Cloudflare released Clef, a family of open-weight models that pick among predefined options instead of generating text, in 27B-parameter and 9B-parameter (Clef-Flash) versions, InfoQ reports. The 27B multimodal model takes a state plus a schema of typed questions, handles text, JSON, images or video, and returns probabilities for all options in a single forward pass, while Clef-Flash targets latency-sensitive decisions; Cloudflare's own benchmark puts Clef-Flash at 38.8 ms median latency versus 209.3 ms for the 27B model. Weights are downloadable on Hugging Face and the models are served through Workers AI, alongside a fine-tuning service staffed initially by Cloudflare engineers, and the API is compatible with Typesafe AI's Jev System One, though Hacker News and Reddit commenters questioned public benchmarks and whether the models know when to abstain.

  3. Cloudflare launches Clairic extraction model preview

Cloudflare launched Clairic in preview on Workers AI, a System One-style model designed to extract specified values from unstructured documents in a single pass, with confidence scores and null values for missing fields. Cloudflare says it can also perform simple calculations, estimates, and forecasts, while open weights are planned for a later release. In a Cloudflare-published customer-service test, the full Clairic-Clef-GLM-5.3 chain took 19.3 seconds, compared with 61.7 seconds for GLM-5.3 alone.

  4. Prime Intellect acquires Moondream, founders to lead inference

Prime Intellect said it has acquired Moondream, with co-founders Vik Korrapati and Jay Allen joining to lead and scale inference and to accelerate work on multimodal models including vision and computer use. Prime Intellect described Moondream as one of its earliest customers, crediting it with open-weight vision-language models that see millions of monthly downloads plus Photon, an inference engine that compiles each model into a single GPU program with custom kernels and a megakernel compiler. Photon and Moondream's kernel work are being folded into Prime's stack; Moondream 3.1 is already served through Prime Inference, Moondream Cloud customers will receive platform credits within days, and Moondream remains the brand for small, efficient multimodal models.

  5. Cloudflare's Clef decision models land on OpenRouter

OpenRouter announced on X that Cloudflare's Clef (27B) and Clef Flash (9B) open-weight decision models are now available through OpenRouter. According to the post, the models accept text, JSON or images and return typed answers with probabilities instead of generated text. Pricing is listed at $0.24 per million input tokens for Clef and $0.09 per million for Clef Flash, with output free.
