  1. DuckDuckGo Privacy Pro review: VPN, privacy chatbots and removal tools

TechRadar reviews DuckDuckGo Privacy Pro, a subscription bundle combining a browser-based VPN, identity-theft restoration, data-removal services and privacy-protected access to advanced chatbots based on ChatGPT and Claude. The reviewer describes the suite as feature-rich and effective for privacy, but calls its starting price of $19.99 per month expensive. 2. ChatGPT's Chrome extension can now read your open tabs and act on them

OpenAI on October 15 upgraded the ChatGPT extension for Google Chrome so that, when users tag Chrome in a chat, the assistant can read the contents of multiple open tabs as context — for example comparing products, summarizing documents or analyzing pricing pages. In Work mode it can, with authorization, control tabs to fill out forms, send messages, download files and group tabs, while the sidebar gains access to full chat history. Outlets reported the features are available on all ChatGPT plans including free, though IT之家 and cnBeta noted availability also depends on desktop app version, workspace settings and a gradual rollout.

  3. WebMCP: designing websites so AI agents can call structured tools

This article, reposted from the Agentic AI Foundation blog, explains WebMCP, a proposed standard that lets websites register structured tools through document.modelContext so AI agents can call site functions with defined input schemas. It shows both script-based registration and a declarative HTML form path, describes how WebMCP differs from MCP and MCP Apps, and stresses that tools should still use existing access controls and input validation. Experimental implementations exist in Chrome through a flag and origin trial, a Cloudflare developer preview, and Brave's Leo assistant, while a June preprint tested tool-surface poisoning in a polyfill environment.
