   The 55% Token-Consumption Claim for AI Dramas Is Inaccurate

   An APPSO commentary questioned a circulating consulting-company investor-relations memo that claimed AI short dramas and video generation accounted for 55% of domestic Token consumption, along with 24% for e-commerce and marketing and 15% for software development. The commentary says these figures cannot be readily verified because infrastructure logs can record model requests, Tokens, generation time and resource use, but generally do not identify whether an output was used for a short drama, advertising, game assets or another application. It also says text, image and video workloads use different Token definitions and computational intensities, so Token consumption cannot be equated directly with computing power. The commentary reports rapid growth in AI short-drama production and the emergence of dedicated inference infrastructure, including a “Token factory” in Zhengzhou serving short-drama companies.
