Hi, everyone!
Hi, everyone! I'm Anatman, and I'm very pleased to be helping build an emerging community! Let me share some insights from using Isaac Sim recently. I'm running Isaac Sim with Docker Compose on Ubuntu 24.04 using a Python 3.12 venv, and I've set up some code assistance and a development environment. I'm currently using the pyright + Helix development tools. To configure accurate and efficient code completion, you need to make some changes to pyproject.toml to add Isaac's search paths. You can refer to pyright's official documentation for this. In my case, I used the search paths from the VS Code configuration generated by Isaac Sim 6.2.0 and added an extra path for python3.12/site-packages to complete the setup. This allows the editor to provide function signatures, code suggestions, and so on. As for sharing files, you can mount a local directory with Docker Compose and configure a user in the container whose UID and GID match those of the local user. This makes file sharing possible. It's very efficient! I can download simulators and code in the container while maintaining them outside it. I really enjoy using Helix! I can share my configuration files. I'm also currently exploring SLAM and world action models for drones. Feel free to discuss everything below the post!
