For the past two years, I was unwilling to use AI Coding because I didn’t trust it and didn’t want to clean up the mess it left behind. Recently, I’ve come around and realized that we need to take a long-term perspective. At this stage, its problems will be solved or optimized, it’s becoming increasingly powerful, and the trend is unstoppable. I tried it out and was pleasantly surprised—its performance is already far beyond my imagination. It’s really progressing at an astonishing pace. In many areas, its capabilities have already surpassed those of most human programmers. From now on, we must use Coding Agents, because they can both improve efficiency and make up for our shortcomings. Once you’ve used them, you won’t be able to do without them, just as computers have become indispensable in virtually every industry today. Now no one uses punch cards to program anymore, and even the number of people who can write assembly language is shrinking. It’s likely that Coding Agents will eventually generate binary code directly, unless humans specifically require them to use a high-level language.
