Atlassian AI leaders: multiplayer agents and model gateway to cut AI chaos
At Atlassian Team Europe 26, Chief Product & AI Officer Tamar Yehoshua and Head of AI Sherif Mansour said most AI agents are built for individuals rather than teams, and Atlassian wants to enable “multiplayer” collaboration between people and agents. They described an Atlassian AI gateway that picks the best model for each task inside its products — for example Rovo switching automatically when a stronger model ships, while users can still choose their own. They also pointed to new Loom video generation from pull requests and Rovo-based agents that categorize defects and cut duplicate reports, and advised customers not to bet on a single provider for their whole context graph.
It shows enterprise AI competition shifting from single agents toward team collaboration, model routing and context management, with vendor neutrality and easy model switching as selling points.
