Samsung Galaxy Buds On Launch in the US at $229 with Gemini Live
Samsung launched its first clip-style open-ear Galaxy Buds On in the US for $229, with Android Authority reporting a November 6 release date after an earlier launch in South Korea. The earbuds offer up to 9.5 hours of playback, Gemini Live integration, head gestures, Intelligent Clear Call and Quick Voice Memo, but lack active noise cancellation and Bluetooth multipoint. Samsung says its AI-assisted design used more than 119 million ear data points to accommodate different ear shapes.
The product extends Gemini Live and other AI features into Samsung’s wearable ecosystem while introducing a new open-ear form factor to the Galaxy Buds line.
TL;DR
- Samsung’s first open-ear earbuds, the Galaxy Buds On, are coming to the US on November 6 for $229.
- The clip-style earbuds feature sound leakage reduction, up to 9.5 hours of battery life, wireless charging, and Gemini Live support.
- The Galaxy Buds On lack ANC and Bluetooth multipoint support, and come in just one size and color.
After trying an all-new aspect ratio for its foldable earlier this year, Samsung is also betting on a new earbud design. The South Korean company has stuck to familiar earbud designs in the past, but that’s changing now with the Galaxy Buds On.
The tech giant launched the new open-ear Galaxy Buds On in Korea yesterday, and even though they aren’t immediately available in the US, the wait for their eventual availability won’t be long. Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Buds On will go on sale stateside on November 6, and they’ll cost $229. That’s just a little over a week to wait at this point.
