ESWIN Computing lists in Hong Kong as the first RISC-V chip stock
ESWIN Computing began trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange main board on October 9, billed as the first RISC-V chip stock, after a second entrepreneurial run by BOE founder Wang Dongsheng; Light Source Capital served as its multi-round exclusive financial adviser and an investor. Its prospectus shows revenue of RMB 1.752bn, 2.025bn and 2.431bn for 2023–2025, a roughly 17.8% three-year compound growth rate, with Q1 2026 revenue of RMB 494m, up 18.4% year on year. As of March 31, 2026 it reported more than 620 IP modules, over 20 RISC-V core series and more than 1,740 related patent applications, and says its 77 intelligent-computing SoC carries a self-developed NPU, supports full-stack floating-point compute and has deployed local large models; its RISC-V-based automotive MCUs serve smart seats, display assemblies, wireless charging and battery management.
If RISC-V, with its open base instruction set and no high licensing fees, gains traction in AI inference and cloud workloads, it could shift AI chip architecture choices and licensing costs; the listing also shows capital judging Chinese chipmakers more on execution than on scarcity value.
