Nscale Joins PyTorch Foundation as Platinum Member
Nscale has joined the PyTorch Foundation as a Platinum member, gaining a seat on the organization’s governing board. The AI cloud provider said it will continue investing in Ray following its planned acquisition of Anyscale and contribute to open-source infrastructure for distributed AI workloads.
The membership connects a vertically integrated AI cloud provider with the open-source tools and governance used to train and scale AI workloads, including Ray and PyTorch.
London, U. K., 20 October 2026 – The PyTorch Foundation, the vendor-neutral home for the open source intelligence layer, is announcing today that Nscale has joined as a Platinum member. Nscale is a full-stack AI cloud platform, bringing together power, data centers, compute and software in one vertically integrated platform.
Nscale first came to the PyTorch Foundation’s project ecosystem through Ray, the open-source framework for distributed computing and scaling AI workloads. Following Nscale’s planned acquisition of Anyscale, the company behind Ray, Nscale has committed to continuing investment in Ray’s development and its contributor community, building on Ray’s governance under the Foundation since the project joined in October 2025.
