Tencent Yuanbao said on Oct 10 that its desktop pet feature is live on PC in beta: users upgrade the client to v2.87.10 or later and click the avatar in the lower-left corner to open "My Desktop Pet," or add Yuanbao via a QR code on WeChat. The pet greets users in the morning, accepts dragged files, images or text for quick summaries at midday (text drag is still rolling out), and digests long web pages into summaries in the evening, with edge-docking, task-completion nudges and quiet-when-busy controls.
