Musk: Optimus and Cybercab will make up most of Tesla's value
Elon Musk said in a Sunday post on X that Tesla's Optimus humanoid robot and Cybercab autonomous vehicle will constitute the "vast majority" of the company's value, reiterating that he is focused on robotics and artificial intelligence, IT之家 reported. He also named superintelligence, robotics, solar power and large-scale space transport as the few areas with very high economic expansion potential. Replying to a post about possible Tesla-SpaceX collaboration on the Roadster, Musk said the Roadster is cool and the project will proceed regardless. Tesla is scheduled to report third-quarter results after market close on October 21, with analysts expecting earnings of $0.43 per share on revenue of $27.9 billion.
Musk is again publicly tying Tesla's long-term value to humanoid robots and robotaxis rather than its current car business, and the report notes the comments came two days before Tesla's third-quarter earnings release.
