Samsung joins Nvidia and KKR in $1B Helix Digital Infrastructure deal
Samsung and five affiliated businesses are committing a combined $1 billion to Helix Digital Infrastructure, a data center venture founded by KKR in June 2026, with Samsung Electronics contributing $500 million. Helix's founding investors also include Nvidia, the Kuwait Investment Authority and US power company Vistra, and the company plans to secure power capacity and network connections for its sites. Samsung says the arrangement moves it from supplying hardware toward directly participating in AI infrastructure build-out.
Data center bottlenecks are shifting from chips to power and supporting infrastructure, and Samsung is packaging in-house memory, cooling, construction and battery capabilities to capture that layer.
