Hybio's HY3003 triple agonist gets FDA IND acceptance
Hybio Pharmaceutical said it received an FDA acceptance notice for its investigational new drug application for HY3003 injection; human trials can begin if the FDA does not impose a hold within 30 days. The candidate is a weekly subcutaneous GLP-1R/GIPR/GCGR triple-receptor agonist discovered using the company's AI peptide-chip screening technology, aimed at weight loss and type 2 diabetes. Hybio says preclinical work showed better weight reduction than the marketed dual agonist tirzepatide, a company-reported comparison.
If clinical results bear it out, AI-screened multi-target obesity drugs would become new contenders in the metabolic-disease race — but only self-reported preclinical data exists so far.
