东芝扩建菲律宾HDD产线，AI存储需求推动产能近翻倍
东芝在菲律宾Laguna Technopark扩建的产线已于10月2日发出首批近线（nearline）硬盘，并计划到2027财年将当地年产能（按总存储容量计算）较2025财年接近翻倍。菲律宾政府称该项目三年内投资达数十亿比索（媒体报道约600亿日元、3.8亿美元），预计带来约3000个岗位。东芝还计划2030年前后推出65TB级硬盘，之后推出100TB级产品。
AI数据中心对低成本大容量存储的需求，让原本被认为会被SSD取代的机械硬盘重新吃紧。

Artificial intelligence is giving conventional hard drives an unexpected second wind, as data centers require enormous amounts of relatively affordable storage.
Toshiba is responding to this surge by investing 60 billion yen, or about $380 million, to expand its HDD manufacturing in the Philippines.
The company expects production capacity for AI and cloud storage drives to nearly double by fiscal 2027.
Toshiba prepares for the storage squeeze
The investment would become Toshiba's first major HDD expansion in roughly five years as the company responds to growing demand from AI infrastructure.
