Gemini Live mobile UI may get a redesigned waveform and mute icon
An Android Authority APK teardown found that Google is testing an updated interface for Gemini Live, centered on a redesigned waveform animation at the bottom of the screen. The company is also testing a new speaker icon in the top-right corner that would likely let users silence Gemini's voice output without lowering the system-wide volume. The interface is still a work in progress and currently lacks features such as video and screen sharing; Google has separately been reported to be working on an ephemeral video mode and keyboard input for Gemini Live.
Interface tweaks in voice assistants often hint at where the product is heading, though this one comes only from a teardown and is not officially confirmed.
