Tatung and Foxconn showcase NVIDIA DSX POD modular data center
Tatung and Foxconn showcased an All-in-One modular data center based on NVIDIA’s DSX POD reference design at Foxconn Technology Day, according to TechNews. The 40-foot container integrates IT racks, AC and DC control panels, cooling, energy management, and fire protection. Tatung is also developing its own modular data-center modules, an 800 VDC power architecture, and solid-state transformers, while a megawatt-scale project in Malaysia is expected to be completed and publicly demonstrated by year-end.
The showcase provides a concrete example of modular AI data-center infrastructure combining computing, power, cooling, energy management, and fire protection in a factory-integrated container; performance and capacity figures remain company claims.
東元電機今（30）日參與鴻海科技日，展示與鴻海合作開發、基於輝達 DSX POD 參考設計的模組化資料中心（MDC）概念，透過 40 呎貨櫃整合 IT 機櫃、電力配電、冷卻及能源管理系統，提供一站式資料中心建置方案。隨著 AI 算力需求持續攀升，東元正加速擴大模組化資料中心業務，並透過馬來西亞子公司強化海外工程承接能力，搶攻全球 AI 基礎建設商機。
東元董事長利明献表示，AI 正重塑全球產業競爭格局，資料中心已成為支撐算力發展的重要基礎設施。東元近年積極從傳統機電設備供應商轉型為 AI 資料中心解決方案提供者，除了整合電力、冷卻及能源管理技術，也透過併購馬來西亞 Dynaciate，擴大海外工程布局。目前東元規劃將超過 80% 的模組化作業提前於工廠完成，以減少現場施工需求並縮短交付時間。
