ASUS ExpertBook A7 launches with Ryzen AI 300 chips and a 3K 120Hz OLED
ASUS has launched its 14-inch ExpertBook A7, built on AMD's Krackan Point 2 platform and offered with either a Ryzen AI 5 330 (4 cores/8 threads Zen 5, up to 4.5 GHz, Radeon 820M) or a Ryzen AI 7 345 (6 cores/12 threads, up to 4.6 GHz, Radeon 840M). The laptop comes with 12 GB or 16 GB of onboard LPDDR5X memory, but has only a single M.2 2230 slot and storage capped at 512 GB. Its 14-inch 2880x1800 (3K) OLED panel runs at up to 120 Hz in glare or anti-glare versions, alongside Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, dual USB4 Type-C, one USB-A, HDMI 2.1b, a 3.5 mm jack, a 65Wh battery and a 1.2 kg chassis; ASUS did not disclose AMD-model pricing, and the Intel variant is listed at $1,299 on its store.
The "Ryzen AI" branding denotes NPUs on these chips, but the report covers only hardware specs and gives no on-device AI throughput or use-case details, so its direct value to AI practitioners is limited.
