Huxiu has launched the call for entries for its 2026 Sustainable Brand Exemplar list, shifting the evaluation focus from broad ESG scores to how technology drives corporate sustainability — including whether companies use AI, digitalisation and clean tech to deliver verifiable emissions and governance gains. The article says the assessment will also examine how firms handle new technology-driven risks such as AI job displacement, algorithmic bias, data privacy, cybersecurity and compute energy use, rather than passing those costs to employees, suppliers, consumers or the environment. The list is run with MioTech and supported by Wind ESG and SynTao Green Finance data, with an independent observer panel overseeing the process.
