Solo developer reports building Switchback with Claude
A solo developer, /u/idun0, says they and Claude built Switchback, a hiking and national-park simulator, through roughly six months and hundreds of hours of iterative collaboration. The developer says the released game includes about 30 levels, expansion packs, trail construction, campgrounds, animal management and other simulation features, and is available through the Apple App Store and Google Play. They also credit Claude 5.5 with asset generation, testing and performance-analysis tools, and Claude Haiku 5.5 with translating the app through 560 subagents.
Switchback provides a concrete, publicly accessible example of a solo developer using Claude across multiple stages of game production, although the development workflow and performance claims come from the developer’s own account.
