Samsung's first AI smart glasses leak: 41g, Snapdragon AR1, November launch
SammyGuru published the full frame lineup and core specs of Samsung's first AI smart glasses: about 41 grams with standard lenses, a Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip, 2GB RAM, 64GB storage, a 12MP camera with 30fps 3K video, four microphones and two open-ear speakers. The glasses have no display — AI replies are spoken through the speakers — and are rated for up to 9 hours of use, or 72 hours with the charging case, with IPX4 water resistance (the case has none). AIbase says the product may be called Galaxy Glasses, runs Android XR and deeply integrates Google Gemini. Frames are made with Gentle Monster (six shapes, 16 versions) and Warby Parker (three styles, 10 versions); a November launch is expected, with Gentle Monster models sold in Korea and the US and Warby Parker models US-only. Pricing and an exact date have not been announced.
It marks Samsung's first move into AI smart glasses, taking on Meta and others with a lightweight, Gemini-powered design, though price and real-world performance remain unproven.
