Silicon Motion posts record Q3 revenue on AI-storage growth
Silicon Motion reported third-quarter revenue of $560.22 million, up 24% from the prior quarter and 131% year over year, while gross margin reached 53.7% and operating margin rose to 32.1%. Ferri and enterprise boot-drive solutions led product-line growth, and the company attributed the results partly to Ferri automotive and edge-AI solutions, enterprise boot drives, edge SSDs and the newly ramping MonTitan controllers. Silicon Motion expects fourth-quarter revenue of $588 million to $616 million and forecasts more than 100% full-year revenue growth over 2025.
The results show that demand for enterprise and edge-AI storage is contributing materially to a memory-controller supplier’s growth, with Ferri and MonTitan products highlighted as key drivers.
